French vegetable group Bonduelle has recorded an increase in full-year sales and reconfirmed its full-year earnings growth targets amid an acceleration in sales outside of Europe.
In the 12 months to the end of June, turnover reached EUR1.77bn (US$2.17bn), up 2.4% at current exchange rates and 3.2% at constant exchange rates.
The group recorded 13.9% growth outside Europe for the year, against a 1.4% decline on the continent. Activities outside Europe accounted for more than 27% of sales over the year.
Bonduelle blamed a slowdown in consumption in Europe for the decline, in addition to the recent disposal of businesses in Spain.
The group reaffirmed its full-year operating profit target of EUR98m to EUR100m.
The company will release its full-year earnings results on 2 October.
