French dairy products company Bongrain has announced a rise in profit to €69.7m (US$93.07) in 2004 compared with €65.2bn in 2003.
Group turnover in 2004 was €4.128bn, compared with €4.002bn in 2003.
Bongrain’s results were improved by the development of its cheese activities outside france and focussed on the strongest brands, it said. Increased volumes had compensated for the adverse effect of the strength of the euro.
Cheese accounted for 60.0% of the sales compared to 58.9% in 2003.
