French industrial baker Bridor is planning to invest EUR18m (US$24.3m) next year to expand its activities at its production plant in Servon-sur-Vilaine, Brittany.
The project makes provision for the construction of 3,500 square meters of workshop and storage space. Sixty new jobs will be created.
The company believed that the move will increase production by 30%.
A EUR70m business, Bridor has a total of five production plants, the other four being located in Canada, the US and Argentina.
Specialising in the manufacture of frozen breads, rolls and Viennese pastries, the company is part of the Le Duff fast- food catering group whose other subsidiaries include Brioche Dorée (boulangeries) and Del Arte (pizzerias).
