Carrefour has confirmed that Ignacio González Hernández has resigned from his position as commercial and group merchandise director.
Hernández joined Carrefour’s Spanish arm in 1992 in a marketing capacity and has also served as private-label development director and grocery director.

In March 2008, he was appointed executive director of Carrefour’s hypermarkets in Spain, before being appointed commercial and group merchandise director within the retailer’s executive committee in July of the same year.
The French retailer declined to comment on the reasons for his departure and whether a replacement has been lined up.
