French retail giant Casino has appointed Zecri Laurent as managing director of its Big C subsidiary in Vietnam.

Casino announced the appointment of Laurent, aged 42, today (14 September).

He joined the group in 1997, holding various international responsibilities, most recently director of international goods.

Casino also named Ferdinand Tomarchio to a senior role covering its Brazilian operations. A graduate of the Ecole Polytechnique and the Ecole des Mines, Tomarchio began his career at the Ministry of Industry.
