Casino, the France-based retail group, is set to see 30 stores on the island of Réunion converted to the Leader Price and Géant Casino banners.
The company has struck a deal with Groupe Caillé, an independent retailer on the island, which is situated in the Indian Ocean.
The two hypermarkets that Caillé runs under the Hyper Champion and Hypercrack banners are set to be rebranded as Géant Casino.
Under a master franchise contract, the 28 supermarkets Caillé operates under the Champion and Dia banners will be rebranded as Leader Price.
Should the sub-franchisees for 15 of the outlets agree to the deal, the store conversions are slated for September and October.
