French pastry company Délices de Ninon, a subsidiary of Delmotte de Broons, has been placed into liquidation by the Commercial Court of Dinan.

Delmotte purchased Délices de Ninon in 2006 in order to strengthen its manufacturing capacity, a spokesperson for the company told just-food. The plant produced reduced-salt desserts, including cakes and pastries.
However, with Délices de Ninon’s losses totalling EUR1.4m (US$2m) in fiscal 2007-8, the continued operation of the plant became “impossible”, the spokesperson said.
Délices de Ninon was put into receivership at the end of September, with an observation period of two months.
While a buyer was sought, the spokesperson said that a rescue bid fell through at the last moment. The Commercial Court therefore decided to liquidate the company.
