French canned vegetables firm Bonduelle has posted rising annual sales and earnings despite a challenging trading environment in Western Europe, the company said today (9 October).
Bonduelle booked underlying profit of EUR71.9m (US$100.9m) for the year to the end of June, a rise of 2%. Turnover was up almost 5% to EUR1.3bn as sales rose in the company’s core markets.
Bonduelle said sales in the EU and Eastern Europe had risen, while the company had also upped its marketing spend throughout the year.
The company added the integration of the Aliments Carrière from July would boost sales in North America in the coming months.
