Frozen food business Iglo is to launch a slew of products on the French market this autumn.

The firm, a sister business to Birds Eye in the UK, will introduce four lines in September amid growing demand for frozen food in France.

Among the launches will be prepared vegetables, breaded salmon fillets and bagged fish to be cooked in the oven.

Iglo told just-food today (2 July) that it believes the launches will help “develop the category” and help consumers eat more fish and vegetables.

“The market for frozen is doing fairly well, with some categories in volume growth,” the company said. “The cost-saving dimension of frozen, in the present context, is attractive.”
