French retailer Leclerc is to invest €16m (US$17.3m) in the expansion of its logistics centre in Le Havre, northern France.

The company is to more than double the size of the logistics centre, which deals with Leclerc’s imported goods that arrive by sea.

Leclerc was having to rent other warehouses in order to meet demands as its business expands. The Le Havre centre currently handles 65 containers per day, reported the French News Digest.
