Mifroma France, a subsidiary of Mifroma, has strengthened its market position with the acquisition of dairy group Ambilly.


The dairy specialises in up-market yoghurts sold under the Baïko brand. The company’s modern manufacturing facility is based in Archamps, in Haute Savoie. It generates an annual turnover of more that EUR5m (US$7/89m).


“The production site and brand Baïko hold great potential,” said Gilles Oberson, director of Mifroma. “We are pleased add the excellent yogurt Baïko to our assortment in France.”


Mifroma France markets Swiss cheese and fresh Swiss milk in France under the Swiss Delice brand.
