Nestlé has issued a recall of three batches of NaturNes baby food due to the presence of rice semolina lumps “whose size and consistency is not suitable for babies’ consumption.”

The quality of the ingredients used in making of the dishes is not in question but faults in the cooking process led to the formation of lumps, Nestlé said.

The batches recalled are for two varieties of the NaturNes ‘Etape 2’ range – potato and salmon and carrot/rice/ham.

No other batch or variety of the Nestlé NaturNes range is affected by the recall, the company added.
