French ready meal-to-sauces firm Raynal & Roquelaure is poised to change hands with one financial holding company set to replace another as the group’s owner.

In a filing to the French Competition regulator, the Autorité de la Concurrence, Financière Cofigeo said it is planning to acquire the entire stake of the company’s owner, the Compagnie Des Minquiers.

The value of the proposed transaction has not been disclosed.

Founded in 1913, Raynal et Roquelaure produces its own-brand cassoulet and a range of tomato sauce-based dishes under the Zapetti brand. In 2008, it acquired the rights to Buitoni pasta sauce brand in France, re-naming it Zapetti.

Raynal et Roquelaure’s latest published financial figures date back to 2009 and reveal an annual turnover of EUR129m (US$175.6m).
