French spirits group Remy Cointreau is poised to move into the cookery market in offering its eponymous brand in spray form – Cointreau Cuisine.

The liqueur firm says the 35 centilitres spray is designed to add a final, enhancing touch to both savoury and sweet dishes such as foie gras and crème brûlée.

Developed in collaboration with a panel of chefs, Cointreau Cuisine has been specially adapted for culinary use with a formula which is more concentrated in aromas of fruit, flowers and  spices, than the standard Cointreau.

Cointreau Cuisine will go on sale this spring in select networks such as Lafayette Gourmet, the food halls situated within Galeries Lafayette department stores, with a recommended retail price of EUR18 (US$24) per unit.
