FRANCE/RUSSIA: Lactalis opens cheese factory in Russia
French dairy products company Lactalis has opened a cheese production facility in Istra, in the Moscow region of Russia. Lactalis has invested a total of €14m (US$15m) in the construction of the new plant, which will have an initial production capacity of 6,000 tonnes of cheese per year.

The factory, which will employ around 100 people, will be supplied with local and imported raw materials, reported the French News Digest.
