French poultry processor Duc has seen its half-year losses widen despite an increase in turnover.
Duc yesterday (13 September) reported a first-half net loss of EUR1.9m, compared to a loss of EUR380,000 a year earlier. The company also posted an operating loss of EUR1.6m versus EUR1.4m last year.
The group said last year’s results were boosted by the sale of catering and snack arm Cobral and insisted its profitability improved in the second quarter.
Duc said its turnover climbed 13.4% to EUR90.1m on the back of an 8.4% increase in volumes.
