French convenience store operator Sherpa has signed a purchasing agreement with larger retailer Casino, which takes effect this month.

Part of the Alpine retail scene, Sherpa’s superettes will benefit from Casino’s national buying muscle, the company said.

The deal also means that Sherpa stores will be able to stock Casino-branded ranges, such as the organic Casino Bio range.

There are 110 Sherpa convenience outlets in Alpine climbing resorts and 18 in the Pyrennees, operating within Spar, Vival and Petit Casino fascias.
