Spanish confectioner Chupa Chups is reportedly planning to close down its plant in Bayonne, south-western France, within the next two months.
The company has been forced to sell off its non-strategic assets after reporting a loss of €20m (US$23.4m) for 2002.
The plant in Bayonne employs 67 permanent staff and 30 seasonal staff, reported the Swiss News Digest.
