French tinned pâté specialist Hénaff has been awarded the local licence to manufacture the products of US sausage specialist Johnsonville.
Speaking to just-food, Hénaff CEO Loic Hénaff said his company had been approached by Johnsonville on the licence, the two parties having known each other for some time.

However, he declined to comment on the annual volume of sausages it concerned.
The licence will bolster the firm’s existing activity in the top end of the sausage market. Hénaff has a dedicated production unit at its HQ in Pouldreuzic.
Hénaff confirmed the licence will lead to the creation of ten jobs. Provision is made for a marketing campaign to promote the Johnsonville brand in France.
Hénaff’s 2013 turnover was largely unchanged on the previous year at EUR42.6m.
