GERMANY/DENMARK: EU clears Dansk Supermarked takeover of Netto
The European Commission announced today (Tuesday) that it had granted clearance under the EU Merger Regulation to the acquisition of sole control of retailer Offene Handelsgesellschaft Netto Supermarkt of Germany by supermarket chain Dansk Supermarked of Denmark.
The European Commission announced today (Tuesday) that it had granted clearance under the EU Merger Regulation to the acquisition of sole control of retailer Offene Handelsgesellschaft Netto Supermarkt of Germany by supermarket chain Dansk Supermarked of Denmark.
Dansk Supermarked is jointly controlled by the A.P. Møller–Mærsk Group and F. Salling. Netto is currently jointly controlled by DS and ITM Enterprises S.A. (ITME). The operation was examined under the simplified merger review procedure.
