“I am convinced that Sunval has further growth potential in Germany and Europe,” said DMK CEO Josef Schwaiger. “With our sales force, we want to continue the impressive success of the company. In addition, baby food is a strategic business unit at DMK.”

Sunval is Germany’s largest manufacturer of private-label organic baby food and supplies to retailers and drug store chains, DMK said. Company sales grew around 36% to EUR37m (US$45.6m) in 2011.

“With DMK we have found a partner to the company, which provides excellent prospects. We are convinced that Sunval will continue under the umbrella of the DMK’s success story,” said Matthias Heining, managing director of BWK.
