GERMANY: Lidl to open 25-30 outlets in Hungary in spring 2003
German discount retail chain Lidl plans to open between 25 and 30 supermarkets in Hungary this spring. Lidl, which has so far invested HUF5bn (US$22.2m) in its Hungarian operations, plans to open the new stores mainly in eastern Hungary, reported the Hungarian News Digest.
