German retailer Metro Group has confirmed plans to expand its presence in Turkey.
The retailer has opened six stores in Turkey this year and is planning to open a further 24 by the end of 2012. Metro plans to open a mix of outlets, including its cash and carry stores.
“Turkey is one of our most important growth markets,” a spokesperson for the company said. Metro Group has 51 stores in Turkey.
