GERMANY/RUSSIA: Onken to start yoghurt production venture in Russia
German dairy products company Onken is to start up a yoghurt-producing venture in the Belgorod region of Russia in early March. The new plant will process around 100 tonnes of milk per day from local suppliers.
The new plant will process around 100 tonnes of milk per day from local suppliers, reported Novecon. Onken has invested €20m (US$21.5m) in the project, including the purchase and installation of processing equipment.
