US food maker Golden State Foods is reorganising its business to accelerate “growth and global expansion”, including the appointment of Joe Heffington to the post of chief financial officer. 

Heffington was formerly Golden State Foods’ corporate vice president and chief accounting officer. In his new post, he will lead all financial functions for the company, including accounting, finance, corporate tax and corporate development.

Brian Dick, formerly vice president and president for Golden State Foods’ global liquid products business in North America, has been given responsibility for the company’s GSF Fresh! produce unit. In this post, Dick will oversee all global liquid products operations along with GSF Fresh! operations worldwide.  

“These strategic organisational changes will position GSF to meet and exceed the needs of our valued customers and will enable us to proactively address evolving customer needs and achieve self-managed excellence, while responding rapidly with innovative offerings to take advantage of demographic, consumer and technology trends,” Golden State Foods chairman and CEO Mark Wetterau said. “With this restructure, I’m confident that we have the right people in the right positions to drive digital solutions, innovate and ensure continuous improvement, all while reinforcing our unique culture, creed and values.”

In other appointments, the company named Bill Sanderson as chief administrative officer; Ed Rodriguez as chief human resources officer; Carol Fawcett as chief information officer; Guilda Javaheri as chief technology officer; John Maguire as president, liquid products North America; Kevin Casto as group senior vice president manufacturing, liquid products North America; and Eric Treon, group senior business director, global liquid products.
