US foodservice supplier Golden State Foods (GSF) has announced that Brian Dick is to become chief commercial officer.

Dick, who also becomes corporate executive vice president, has been with the California business – a supplier to fast-food giant McDonald’s for 65 years – for 20 years.

Since 2017, he has been corporate senior vice president and also president of global liquid products and GSF Fresh produce.

Golden State, which has not had anyone in the COO role for around two years, has seen a number of executive moves this year after it announced in April a new top management structure in an attempt to accelerate growth.

Effective immediately, Dick will now oversee all global operations for the company, including food manufacturing and logistics. He is tasked with providing “strategic leadership and direction for all worldwide activities to ensure the attainment of all quality, cost, timeliness, safety and customer satisfaction objectives and company financial and growth goals”.

In another newly announced move, Campbell Cooper has been promoted to president of the international business group.

He will now oversee operations in Asia, Australia, New Zealand and the Middle East, as he transitions from his former role as group vice president of GSF Fresh.
