Shoppers and staff at an Athens supermarket were shocked to witness the entrance of a deer into the store yesterday [Wednesday] morning.
The doe reportedly trotted through two sets of automatic doors before running towards the dairy section and leaping over refrigeration units at the rear of the store.
Kelley Minish, assistant manager at the Kroger store, explained what happened before two employees caught it near the meat department and released it out of the back door.
“I think it was just scared to death,” Minish told the Associated Press: “It busted its nose or lip on the front glass, took off running between registers 10 and 11 and ran down aisle two.”
