South African produce group Capespan Group has acquired a 25% stake in Hong Kong-based fruit and vegetable distributor Good View Group for an undisclosed sum.
Capespan said the investment would help boost its presence in the retail, wholesale and foodservice channels. Good View Group supplies products including fresh-cut and pre-packaged produce.

Managing director Johan Dique said: “The Far East has the best growth opportunities in our global markets. Our investment in GVG is expected to greatly enhance our expansion capacity into these markets and support its transformation into a leading corporate enterprise in fresh fruit and vegetable supply in the region.”
