Huegli's head of division consumer brands, Matthias Grun, has left his post over what the Swiss food maker called "differing views" on strategy.
A statement from Huegli said the company and Grun had "decided to terminate the working relationship with immediate effect". The group said his departure was due to "differing views on the strategic orientation and management of the division.
The board of directors and group management said it thanked Grun for his services to the business over the past two years.
Thomas Bodenmann, Huegli's CEO, will step in as interim head of consumer brands until a replacement is found.
In August, Huegli booked higher sales and earnings for the first half of the year despite the negative impact of currency exchange, which had a ten-point impact on the top line. Results were lifted by organic sales – particularly driven by its UK and German private-label businesses but also by acquisitions.
