Hungarian canned food manufacturer Globus has reported that its first-quarter net profit almost doubled to 882m forints (US$4.1m), mainly due to the sale of a canning unit last year.
The company’s net sales increased 16% to 7.21bn forints, and the company’s operating result was up 68% to 973m forints.
Globus’ domestic sales, which account for 56% of the company’s sales in volume terms, contributed 68% in forint terms to first-quarter sales, reported Reuters.
