Hungarian canned food producer Globus revealed earlier today [Tuesday] that its January-March Q1 pre tax profit has quadrupled this year, to reach 488.2 million forints (US$1.81m) compared to 126.2m forints year-on-year.


Meanwhile, company sales increased by almost 36% to 6.21bn forints.


In a statement, Globus added that for the FY 2002, it “targets a 1.5bn forint pre-tax profit, a near 40% rise over last year, amid a further strengthening of its domestic and export market positions.”
