German discount retailer Lidl is reportedly planning to open between 25 and 30 stores in Hungary over the next two years.

The company aims to open around 100 stores in Hungary in the future, reported the Hungarian News Digest.

Lidl is currently constructing a 30,000-sq m logistics centre in Szekesfehervar, central Hungary.

Lidl Hungary, the company’s Hungarian subsidiary, has signed a preliminary contract to purchase an 11,000-sq m site in the northern town of Komarom, and has gained a building permit for a store in southeastern Hungary.
