Icelandic seafood and regional speciality products group Alfesca has appointed Xavier Gaudio to the newly-created post of CEO of its international arm.
Gaudio was previously CEO of Alfesca’s French brand, Labeyrie, where he is succeeded by Jacques Trottier.
As well as becoming CEO of Alfesca International, Gaudio also joins the company’s executive committee and will have responsibility for acquisitions.
Apart from Labeyrie, Alfesca’s French brands include Blini, Adrimex, Delpierre and Le Traiteur Grec.
The group is also present in Spain through Skandia and in the UK with subsidiaries Farne Salmon and Trout and Lyons Seafoods.
