The company already supplies own-label whole turkeys to Aldi but is preparing for its first branded launch in the UK this summer.

Speaking to just-food at the IFE trade exhibition in London yesterday (16 March), Sadia retail trader Jonathan Watkins said the company is looking at launching two lines – Sadia chicken joints and Sadia turkey joints – in June.

Watkins said Sadia had also agreed a deal to supply meat products to Netto.

He added that Sadia could also secure a deal to supply Tesco. Sadia, Watkins said, was awaiting production clearance from Tesco, which could come next year.
