Indian biscuits and dairy products maker Britannia Industries has appointed N Shridhar to the newly-created post of chief financial officer.

Shridhar, a former financial executive of Coca-Cola, will report to chairman Nusli Wadia, the Business Standard reported.

Britannia does not currently have a CEO, following the departure last year of Sunil Alagh. Wadia and chief operating officer Nikhil Sen have been running the company in the interim.

“The post of CFO of Britannia Industries is a newly created one and the incumbent will report to the CEO, as and when appointed. In the interim, he reports to the board and me,” Wadia told the Business Standard.
