US restaurant operating giant Yum! Brands (formerly Tricon Global Restaurants) has unveiled its plans to expand the presence of its fastfood brands, which include Pizza Hut, KFC, Taco Bell, Long John Silver’s and the A&W chain, in the Indian subcontinent.


An official from the company is quoted by Reuters as saying that Yum! aims to double its outlets in Sri Lanka and Mauritius in the next three years, and open outlets in Nepal and Bangladesh.
 
Pankaj Batra, MD for the Indian subcontinent at Yum!, explained that there are already six Pizza Hut and four KFC restaurants in Sri Lanka; six Pizza Huts and nine KFCs in Mauritius; and 36 Pizza Hut and one KFC in India.
