Irish dairy and ingredients group Glanbia has appointed former Sara Lee executive Mark Garvey to the role of finance chief.
Garvey takes over from Siobhán Talbot who is taking up the role of group managing director with immediate effect.

Garvey’s previous role was at Sara Lee, where he was executive VP and CFO until 2012 when the company split in two – US firm Hillshire Brands and beverages group D.E. Master Blenders.
Since 1995, Garvey has held a number of senior finance roles within the firm in the US and Europe including CFO of Sara Lee North America and group CFO of Sara Lee International.
Prior to Sara Lee, he worked with Arthur Andersen in Ireland and the US as a manager in various audit and advisory roles.
