Ireland-based dairy and nutrition group Glanbia has neither confirmed or denied a newspaper report that is building a EUR50m (US$66.7m) manufacturing plant.
The Sunday Times reported the company is seeking sites in Leinster and hopes to have it up and running when milk production quotas come to an end in 2015.

A spokesperson from Glanbia described Sunday’s (4 December) report as speculation.
She said: “Glanbia is currently reviewing the supply, processing and market implications of increased milk production post 2015. As is the case with all Glanbia investments, any proposals arising would be subject to a rigorous business case analysis.”
