Irish food and agriculture business IAWS has said it has purchased Irish cooked meats and ready meals firm Carroll Meats.
An IAWS spokesman did not say how much the company spent on the purchase, but said it was a small bolt-on acquisition, reported the Irish Times.
Carroll Meats reported pre-tax profits of €2.5m (US$3.1m) on turnover of €24.7m in the year to 31 August 2003. The company employs over 80 people at its facilities in Tullamore and Nenagh.
