An IAWS spokesman did not say how much the company spent on the purchase, but said it was a small bolt-on acquisition, reported the Irish Times.
Carroll Meats reported pre-tax profits of €2.5m (US$3.1m) on turnover of €24.7m in the year to 31 August 2003. The company employs over 80 people at its facilities in Tullamore and Nenagh.
