Food company the Jacob Fruitfield food group has bought the business of the Real Irish Food Company, according to the Irish broadcaster RTE. The price of the deal was not disclosed.

The deal includes the company’s manufacturing facility in Drogheda, the brands and other assets including stock and production equipment.


All of the Real Irish Food Company’s workers will be retained by Jacob Fruitfield and the manufacturing facility will remain in Drogheda.


Jacob Fruitfield said it was buying the company in order to help growth in the area of sauces and preserves.
