UK discount retailer Poundland is to open a further ten Dealz stores in Ireland.

The outlets, the retailer said today (19 April), will open by next March, creating “a minimum” of 300 jobs.

The expansion plan will begin with the opening of Dealz’s tenth store in Ireland this week, located in Co. Westmeath. The remaining stores will open in locations including Lisduggan in Co. Waterford, Drogheda, and Clonmel.

“We are looking forward to bringing our extensive range of great products and top brands to even more savvy Irish consumers,” Poundland CEO Jim McCarthy said.

In December, Poundland announced plans to extend its Dealz store format beyond the Republic of Ireland and onto the Isle of Man.
