Glanbia Nutritionals, a division of Irish food company Glanbia, has said it is expanding its US research and development at its R&D centre in Twin Falls, Idaho.
The company said it is expanding its efforts in order to meet customer needs through new technology, process developments and application testing.
Glanbia said the Twin Falls centre, which has been open since September 2003, will effectively meet Glanbia’s growing need for expanding its research and development team. The space will be able to house more staff and equipment required for research in developing whey protein-based nutritional ingredients.
“The work we’re doing provides the scientific base and platform upon which we can support our existing product mix, and launch several new products in the current and upcoming year,” said Eric Bastian, director of research and development at Glanbia Nutritionals. “That’s our overarching goal.”
