Kosher food specialist G. Willi-Food said it has recorded a “significant improvement” in earnings and sales over the last four quarters as it booked an increase in first-half profits.
In the six months to the end of June, earnings soared 79.9% to NIS16m (US$4.4m). G. Willi-Food said the improvement was a direct result of its strategy to organically grow its customer base and product line.
Operating income increased 70.2% to NIS17.5m, while sales grew 25% to NIS175m.
“Moving forward, we intend to continue to leverage market demand in order to maximize our revenues and expand margins,” said chairman Zwi Williger. “We intend to reinvest in the development of the company in order to maximise profitability and increase long-term value for our shareholders.”
