Guarrera said the percentage was significantly greater than in many other European countries and that around half of Italy’s organic farming products are exported, reported the Italian News Digest.
AMAB and several other organic farming organisations have also stressed their opposition to the possible introduction of genetically modified crops into Italian agriculture because of fears they may contaminate ordinary and organic crops.
