A second probable case of vCJD has been identified in a 56-year-old man hospitalised in Palermo, on the island of Sicily. The La Sicilia daily reported on Friday that Luigi Pastore, head of neurology at Palermo's hospital, strongly suspected the patient of having contracted the human form of mad cow disease.
