JAPAN: Government approves more GMOs for human consumption
Three more varieties of genetically modified corn and soybeans have been given the go ahead for use in food production after the Japanese Government ruled that they are safe for human consumption. The latest decision brings the total number of approved GM crop varieties to 43. The country first approved GM crops six years ago.
