Nestlé Japan Group, a unit of Swiss food giant Nestlé, has said that Jose Lopez is to succeed Shunichi Fujii as chief executive officer of the Kobe-based company, effective 1 July. Lopez, who joined Nestlé is Switzerland in 1979, currently holds the position of managing director of Nestlé Malaysia, reported the Daily Yomiuri.

Fujii, who was promoted to the position of CEO of Nestlé Japan in April 2001, will become chairman of Nestlé Japan Group and Nestlé Japan Holding, effective 1 July.
