Nestle Japan has unveiled a new mini KitKat that can be baked.

When put in the oven for two minutes the KitKat becomes “like a crispy cookie”, said the firm who worked with Japanese chocolatier Tagaki for the launch. Tagaki recently developed KitKat’s first boutique in Tokyo.

The treat, which can also be eaten traditionally like a chocolate bar, is set to be released across Japan from 24 March.

It comes in two varieties, KitKat mini original chocolate and KitKat mini pudding.
