Japanese retailer Seven & I Holdings debuted a line of own-label products for its The Price discount stores today (22 June).
The new line undercuts other manufacturers’ items by 30-50%, the company said.
Seven & I’s The Price own label will initially offer a low price on 16 basic food items. The stores, which are mostly converted Ito-Yokado supermarkets and which are located largely in the Tokyo area, will add another 44 low price goods by the start of July.
The company said it would also lower prices for Seven & I’s own brand.
