Japanese retailer Seven & I Holdings today (1 October) booked a slump in half-year earnings – but the company kept its forecast for the full financial year.
For the six months ended 31 August, net income dropped 35.3% to JPY43.7bn (US$488.9m).
Operating income also dipped, dropping 20.2% to JPY118.1bn, while revenue from operations dropped 11% to reach JPY2.55bn.
For the full-year ending in February, the company kept its forecast of JPY250bn operating profit, down 11% from a year earlier.
